Preface

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Translation: "Praise be to God Who hath guided us to this (felicity): never could we have found Guidance, had it not been for the Guidance of God." (7:43 Quran).

Preface: Often during my lectures, some devout and compassionate young people, have requested a compilation of valuable topics, a compendium of verses from the Qur'an and the Hadith, as well as other writings by great Islamic scholars. Each word of which would contain life's great secrets and be considered as precious instruction and guidance for the material and spiritual life of mankind. "We would memorize it," they say, eager to receive its full benefit in practice and the blessings of its instruction in their lives. How good this would be! I told the students that we, with the help of Glorious God, will do this task. To perceive great words, however, requires great strength. One must have the utmost ability and even higher to perceive the truths from the bottom of one's heart and to apply them at the right time. By expressing this statement, silence took over the meeting, and everyone became quiet. Do you know why? Because their zeal for the search for truth was so selfishly and egotistically motivated that this statement of mine was enough to strike them down. Without trying to justify themselves the way that ignorant men who claim to be civilized and knowledgeable do, they realized that there was no difficulty in meeting their request. To inwardly commit it to heart and brain, however, with all of their outward enthusiasm and interest, was another question. Could they be able to commit themselves to the endeavor, or not?

Convinced of their purity, merit, and excellence they conveyed to me without words that they were truly worthy of what they had asked for. Subsequently, I broke the silence with the following point and asked, "What is the truth pertaining to the entire disclosed and undisclosed universe of the world and world's inhabitants, in your opinion?" Everyone in the audience referred to something from their own personal experience. Initiating the lecture, I began:
