Chapter 3

A Portion of Creation of Art and Wisdom in Man's Test

Preface: Since we have understood the necessity of seeking and finding the nearness to His Almighty's Presence, in the Epistle of Man and the Secrets of Nearness, it would not be inappropriate to find out about the wisdom behind these testing sceneries, as to why Mankind has been created in this world for the purpose of being tried. We should also clearly find out as what has been and is the purpose of passing the period of life in this perishing world? Because, this is an indisputable truth, as to whatever machinery man has built, he has known about its work efficiency and power as well. Then, Great God also had known from the start of creation the ideology and the direction that man would have had voluntarily chosen. Where the generous Qur'an refers to it in the following: "…Some are in Paradise, and some in the Hellfire."¹

The underlying context of the auspicious verse is clear evidence of the situation. However, Man would have not confessed to this fact, were he in that world from the beginning of creation. Man would have not been contented about the situation of his other righteous and pious brothers who were of his same specie. Therefore, Almighty God, in order to clarify, "…So that Almighty God may observe with His All-Seeing Knowledge, the struggle and patience of the believers as a function of the occurrence of time and location"² has brought Adam (peace be upon him), and his progeny to here (earth).

Consequently, this challenging and demanding world was created in such a way that on one hand, by seeing the completion periods of four seasons and so forth man may stabilize his direction, and on the other hand, by each individual having made his life's movie, he should be contented and would not ask for more. Hereby, please focus on the matters of questions and answers related to this issue.

1. Have you noticed? Had His Almighty Great Being, Owner of the Glory and Majesty created human descendants in the Permanent and Eternal Abode, Almighty God having the property of justice, then all of them should have been at equal levels, and would have lived and passed the life under an equal system benefiting the enjoyments of food, drinks and clothes. In such case, of course, the variety in creation and personalities of full capacity and high sincerity along with hundreds of other secrets, all would have been delayed. Since, under the umbrella of uniform living styles, the terrain of creation should have been all alike. In such situations, the exhibition of His Almighty's Perfection in Artistry, Originating (Idba'), Bringing into Existence (Ijaad) and other attributes would have been restricted.

2. Have you noticed? In a state of comfort and happiness, each individual human being by seeing all that Power, Greatness, Glory and Majesty of Him Almighty in the Everlasting World, would have made himself a perfect and devoted sincere to Him Almighty. Therefore, Almighty God has created these sceneries of involvements and entanglements, in order to distinguish among the ranks of the sincere ones from the false and imitating pretenders. He Almighty has exposed human beings to test, in the course of periods of times, under the influence of the Angelic Inspirations and Satanic Temptations, so that the devout ones would be distinguished from the false claimants in the face of hardships.

3. Have you noticed? When it comes to such Great, Generous, All-Knowing and Eternal Almighty Lord, it was not and is not really appropriate that each worthy and unworthy person would set at the Lordly Table of Nearness of His Almighty Compassionate and Beneficent Being. And that they become the owner of receiving the Nearness to His Almighty Presence without the smallest proof of devotion and the full, demonstrated attachment in His Holiness Almighty Being.

4. Have you noticed? Therefore, this world of testing with all its ups and downs, and temptations of Jinni and human Devils along with other instruments of confusion has been created. Man is released therein as like a rocket and he is given the option of determining his trajectory while he is equipped with the exploring intellect, the guidance of intact Qur'an of Islam, and the honorable majesties of Prophets (peace be upon them), and the dignitaries of Saints (may God's mercy be upon them).

5. Have you noticed? The purpose of Man's creation in this world has not been only to go through the trial scenarios; rather, it has been for examining the varieties of the imperishable Power of the Glorious Being. So that Man may ponder as from insignificant things, all this variety and different kinds of living and non-living creatures are created, and those again enriched with different qualities, decorated with different colors and designed with different levels of development. Man may see them one after the other and therefrom to perceive the excellence of His Control, Greatness and the full Power of Him Almighty. Through this easy method and this unconditional worship, Man may acquire the fullest Insight into Him Almighty.

6. Have you noticed? The more the truth about perception of this quality increases by observing things and Control of Him Almighty over all of them, the more it strengthens and enlightens the first sign of Man's Nearness to Him Almighty. It does so, in such a way that the person will know by Certainty-of-Sight (Ein-ul-Yaqeen) that the Almighty Lord Who creates all these variety of handiworks and the creatures out of the insignificant soil and other unworthy things, He Almighty has definitely created and creates thousands of times superior and better things out of the better genus (Heavens).

7. Have you noticed? This insight certainly leads to the fact, that the Being who creates pleasant times in each year such as, six to eight months of spring, summer and fall and other occasions, can keep these seasons continuous forever. Likewise, Exalted He Who keeps Man young and fresh for thirty to forty years, undoubtedly, can keep it for billions of years continuous as well.

8. Have you noticed? Man's coming into existence into these testing scenes, finally his departure to the Everlasting World, and his reception to the Meeting with Him Almighty which no eye has ever seen and no ear has ever heard, has many wisdoms behind.

9. Have you noticed? The first wisdom behind the observation of variety of favors, and the control freely given to Man over most of things in this world, is that Man should understand well that this Grace of Him Almighty Being has been granted to us emanating from the fountain-head of the Most-Beneficence (ar-Rahmanee). Consequently, it is necessary that we make effort in attracting more of His Almighty's Grace through the righteous deeds, so that we may prosper forever, the boundless river of the Most-Mercifulness (ar-Rahimee) through these deeds. This is the secret of the whole Glorious Qur'an, embedded in Bismillahir Rahmaanir Rahim (In the Name of God, The Beneficent, The Merciful).

10. Have you noticed? Man has been created not only to be tested for evident determination in applied scenes in making his decisions when studying all these favors in the oceans, on land, and in rest of the universe. Rather, the purpose has been for Man to orient himself and to get affection with the Almighty Creator or with the creatures. Meanwhile, he should visually understand the Perfections of Him Almighty in the light of these, which are for manifestation and proof of His Almighty Everlasting Magnificence and Perfection. Therefore, one should strengthen his Light of Faith.

11. Have you noticed? The wisdom behind ours coming into existence and being exposed to the test is for obtaining more and better Graces of both worlds, after accepting a bid of confrontation against the ego and Satan. We may become merit of purity and worthiness and become acceptable to the Presence of Him Almighty Being.

12. Have you noticed? The chance of finding wealth, power and other unnecessary possessions is like dropping grain to birds or ants, or putting a piece of meat in front of a wild animal. For they presume to have gotten it freely or by their own efforts. In reality, however, someone had actually placed or dropped it on their way and provided them with a chance. Similarly, the capability of obtaining wealth, power, and knowledge comes from Him Almighty for the purpose of our being tested.

13. Have you noticed? The creation of this existent (Man) does not end for just being tested, but there are unlimited amazing and perplexing wisdom behind seeing and observing variety of living and non-living creatures, and diverse signs in each season and periods of time, and these being repeatedly coming in monotonous four seasons, as, what mysteries and secrets each of them possess. All of them, one after the other, are proving and showing the Perfection and Power of the Great Almighty Creator, Glory be to Him.
