Chapter 17

Kinds of Devils and their Operations

1. Have you noticed? The level of Insight into Almighty God or the Inner Luminosity in a person can be sensed by Satan from the brightness of the Nucleus of Monotheism. The stronger the Nucleus of Monotheism gets, proportionally Devils get further ready in carrying the enmity against the person, increasing definitely their activities on this person either directly by themselves or indirectly through their followers among human Devils, until one of the sides prevails. This is the secret being put in such verses of the Holy Qur'an as,

"I try you, which of you is fulfilling the best of deeds."¹

2. Have you noticed? Devils are in two types:

A: Personal Devils (Anfossi)B: Celestial Devils (Afaqee)

A: Personal Devils (Anfossi): To each individual human being, according to his or her Inner Luminosity, there is a devil appointed with the equivalent level of darkness. This situation gets changed when the person's inner capabilities and states promote. Namely, the more the person's inner luminosity increases due to good deeds for the sake of Almighty God for the purpose of prosperity for God's creatures, at the same level, a devil of higher rank with more darkness will be appointed to the person. It seems that, they are like stationary shopkeepers or permanent employees; and they remain settled until giving their position to another.

3. Have you noticed?

B: Celestial Devils (Afaqee): The celestial Devils are like wandering shopkeepers who travel all over. Should the personal-devil fail to independently persuade a person to carry out an unlawful action, yet still manages to make the person inclined to do so, then he will beg assistance of Celestial Devils so that they may infuse the person with more enhanced temptations to go astray, or that they might teach those enhanced temptations to this personal-devil. Hence, the Messenger of God Muhammed (peace be upon him), has stated, "Devils are fastened in chains, in the month of Ramadan." They are meant to be the Celestial Devils. Consequently, by these Celestial Devils being fastened, people refrain to some extent from evil acts, and get interested in goodness. However, due to the existence of Personal Devils, some mischiefs still do occur. But, if they were all fastened, then human beings would have not committed any corruptions. 4. Have you noticed? There are Devils among human beings as well. They are human beings in appearance, but they are the Devils' cooperator in every way. They engage in activities destroying and devastating people, encouraging and causing them to slip towards wickedness and inhumane acts. Almighty God's statement:

"…they whisper into the hearts of Mankind; from among the group of jinn and mankind."³

5. Have you noticed? These kind of human Devils are the friends of jinni Devils. Whenever jinni Devils prompt something or however guide them, they right away put it in practice upon their own selves and others. Or, if difficulties exist on the way, they try to remove the difficulties, and to carry out that mischief.

"Devils inform their friends to dispute with you, to obstruct the spreading of Truth, and to impede and prevent the righteous way."⁴

6. Have you noticed? The thievery of human Devils takes place right when the Personal-Devil feels no more power to enforce the action on the person. Then, the Personal-Devil, with the assistance and stimulations of the human devils, drives the person to pits of misery, prevents him from benevolent acts, persuades him to committing a variety of atrocious acts, cannibalisms and immoralities, and finally brings him to polytheism⁵ or agnosticism.

7. Have you noticed? Should the Personal-Satan⁶ get involved with the assistance of human-Satan, then the person should realize that his or her personal-Satan has distanced from the Heart, and due to his inner Light, Personal Satan cannot stay near any more to injure the Heart through Direct Temptations. Therefore, this assistance from human Devils is the last chance for the Personal Satan to rob the person. Sometimes, the person's certain action happen to have to such an extent full Luminosity that Personal Satan can not stand it, then the Personal Satan wants from far away, with the assistance of Celestial Devils and Human Devils to prevent the person from fulfilling that deed.

8. Have you noticed? In such circumstances, should the human Satan become effective in the person's inner and the person's inner Light becomes unstable and a favorable state prevail the person for personal Satan to approach, right in this occasion person feels inclined to committing that unlawful act.

9. Have you noticed? It is right at this moment that Personal Satan immediately reaches to the Computer of Heart. Then, Personal Satan, to create Temptations and make them effective, metaphorically speaking, punches the keyboard of the heart, causing some serious damage therein to make the person so unconscious that he may carry out that unlawful deed, whether willingly or unwillingly.
