Chapter 16

The Proof for the Enemy (Satan) and Nafs

Preface: This situation is obvious to everybody that if there was no obstacle on the way of a person, he will definitely succeed in fulfilling his wishes.

Now, we see widely this universe, the periods of time, and the passing by of development periods, where we came from non-existence, followed by childhood, youth and oldness and finally death. We will be facing these periods indeed like our past generations.

Then why Man does not perceive the following truth?

The Almighty Lord has created him and all periods of world and world's inhabitants. This has not been in vain. Undoubtedly, the Almighty Omnipotent Who is manifesting to us in this perishing world aspects of His Power, there is no problem for Him Almighty preparing the Eternal and Permanent World as well, for the righteous and pious ones as He says:

"Paradise is decorated, or will be adorned for pious ones." (50:31 Qur'an)

Thus, why and what has become the barrier on Man's way to approach Almighty Allah? Yes! Satan, or the eternal and natural enemy of Mankind. You will become more familiar to a portion of these struggles, throughout the following questions and answers.

1. Have you noticed? There is enemy or opponent for everything and object. According to this claim, the entire world is as contrariety of each other, and the stabilization of the world is formed on the basis of this contrariety.

2. Have you noticed? For destruction of Man's body and other animals, there are visible things such as, wild animals. Where they eat others, and they are also eaten by others. Likewise, there are other eaters appointed. For instance, for birds, besides the hawk and sparrow-hawk, the cat and others are also the enemy for the body of birds and small wild animals.

3. Have you noticed? Besides the physical enemies for living creatures among whom Man is also included, most of the strong beasts such as lion, tiger, wolf and bear etc. are after annihilating Mankind. However, due to the virtue of his knowledge and particular innate nobility, Man has been able to defeat and perish them all, or to limit their activity area and to subdue them. As a result of which, today human beings can freely go to anywhere and any place, without worry, and secured from their harm. Unfortunately, he has not got in peace from the side of his own fellow human beings and their harms.

4. Have you noticed? Man, contrary to all animals is possessing two powers of outer which is physical and the inner which is discovering power of wisdom, and his refined Rooh. Therefore, there are two enemies for Mankind, his physical enemies such as harmful insects and beasts; for instance, lion, tiger and wolf etc. In this case, all animals are faced to their own particular (murderer, killer). However, Man besides this, is facing various kinds of struggles with the bandit to and the killer of his power of nearness to Glorious Allah. This is, unfortunately not perceived by most human beings.

5. Have you noticed? Human beings are also having share with other living creatures from the first aspect. However, the inner enemy of Mankind is Satan, who does not let Man a single moment in peace. Satan makes Mankind face with various tricks and destruction, and overthrows him in different kinds of pits. Finally, Satan brings Man to Denial of God, agnostics or Polytheism.

6. Have you noticed? As we briefly proved above, there is an enemy for each creature or thing. Heart is also a creature, or a complete and competent Computer in the entire body of Man, it has to somehow have enemy, which is called Satan. Of course, when it becomes heedless of Allah and Hereafter, Satan will get the control on it. As, the Messenger, peace be upon him, has said:

"Satan is stuck to Man's Heart, he goes away when Almighty Allah is remembered (Remembrance), and as laziness overcome Man, Satan becomes again active of to create Temptations."

7. Have you noticed? Or have you sometimes noticed this truth and astonishing secret? What is conveying unpleasant effects to your Heart, involuntarily while you are having fun, or talking or even at leisure's times. These are things which are actually not worthy to be remembered, rather they are reflected from seeing or hearing something minor. If, the person does not pay attention, it gradually creates disturbance, and even takes away people's sleep. This is infused and enlarged by Satan.

8. Have you noticed? Unfortunately, most people did not perceive the disguises of this malicious creature (Satan). Therefore, instead of beasts, they are themselves after one another, due to stimulation's of human and Jinni Devils. If you take a look and study the pages of history, you will come to know that all the killings and massacres of the atomic age and the past centuries have been the result of devilishness of this malicious creature which he has carried out with the cooperation of human Devils.

9. Have you noticed? Satan by using the corrupt and excessive desires of Nuclei of Nafs and Sensuality, finds the opportunity of suggesting the disguises to Man. Satan, thereby through this media, no matter what possibility to use, entangles Man with all miseries, and finally makes the person deprived of the wealth of Faith.

10. Have you noticed? Why human beings with all his perception, intelligence, wide exposure, in this world of excitements, each thing of which is prove and witness of the Existence of One, Almighty God, still are often going down to the pits of straying? They, by following the Nafs and the guidance's of human and Jinni-Devils, have denied Almighty Allah and the Day of (Inquiry, Interrogation) and punishment?

11. Have you noticed? He is the Being Who has kept continuous all this monotonous system for millions of years, He has been always producing all these gifts out of unworthy soil, and He is still doing so. He is Who creates a period of 30 to 40 years of youth, and other periods called four seasons. Undoubtedly, He can grant gifts of more perfect quality out of better soil, endurance of thousands of years at some place of pleasant weather, such as spring and everlasting youth. Ponder O! Clear-sighted people!. In spite of observing all these variations and periods of months years, and galaxies, they deny the everlasting permanency.

12. Have you noticed? There is Nafs in other animals as well. Since, there is limited knowledge in them called instinct, and also their purpose is to fill stomach and to fulfill this purpose is one of the greatest desires of Nafs, therefore, they are not making much effort in obtaining the pleasures. For instance, you may feed some vegetarian animal in stall for month only straw. By as soon as you let it free in a clover land, it eats only the top of these grasses, and it tramples the rest, or even makes dirty, without paying attention that the bottom of clover is better than the straw.

13. Have you noticed? The same quality of Nafs in human beings is in the same Nucleus, but contrarily it has been mixed with securing life with excessive luxuries, and with corrupt desires which become the foundation for brutality and oppression. Even besides securing his own life, when that Nucleus is influenced by the effects of corrupt desires which are suggested by Satan, Man involuntarily makes efforts and tries for the comfort of his future generations as well.

14. Have you noticed? In the body, Rooh is in the position of electricity, and Nafs is in the position of fuel reservoir are working towards keeping the body active. Similarly, Heart is in the position of Steering Wheel. Sometimes, the Angel takes the command on this Steering wheel and thereby, the person is made active to good deeds. Some other times, Satan has its control, then the same person is made involved in mischief.

15. Have you noticed? There are opposite forces struggling in the body (the force towards Insight into Glorious Allah and attachment with His Unlimited Glorious Being, and the force opposing the acquaintance with Glorious Him and His Existence). The later one is infused by Jinni-Devils and their corrupt followers (human Devils). Thereby, they engage in various kinds of propaganda activities in order to mislead human beings. Their ultimate hope is to bring the absolute Denial of Insight into Him Almighty and even of Almighty God's Existence, and this is it. There is no greater sin than this one, in the Presence of Him Almighty.

16. Have you noticed? Comfortable life with peace of mind can be achieved to Mankind, when he succeeds to continually stabilize Angel or the Inspirations relayed from the Sacred World behind the Steering of Heart. Otherwise, he must always be in struggles.

17. Have you noticed? The sophistries propagated by human-Devils by following the disguises of Jinni-Devils have thrown Mankind quite a distance away from planning to struggle against this cunning and clever enemy. Thereby, people say Satan does not exist. Therefore, the peace and comfort for Mankind, especially in this atomic age when Man is heading towards dominating other planets, has gone totally to disappointment. Hence, both east and west are placed on the annihilation precipice of atomic arm race. If the Grace of Almighty Allah will not get involved (Shamel-e-Haal), all creatures on land and in oceans will be annihilated, because they have not engaged in defending against their main enemy (Satan). Rather, Satan has deceived them so much they are denying the existence of Satan and Satan's instant by instant disguises.
