Preface

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Translation: "Praise be to God Who hath guided us to this (felicity): never could we have found Guidance, had it not been for the Guidance of God." (7:43 Quran)

In other words, if Almighty Allah had not guided us to this righteous path, we could never have found it.

For perceptive, God seeking, and broad-minded youths, it is necessary for them to understand, whenever possible, the reasons for the cause of the rapid advancement of Muslims in the early age of Islam (i.e. Knowing Oneself - Knowing God). At the same time, they should know what has caused the current backwardness and diversity amongst this huge mass of pious Muslims. In regards to this theme, if we were to recommend to them the study of the commentaries (tafsir), and other lengthy Islamic works, in lay terms, these pure-hearted seekers will become lost in finding the truth (i.e. the keys to usher our world into an age of wisdom, one that manifests the creative cooperation of civilizations for the common good of all). This type of recomendation is unrepresentative and cannot (in the shortest time) satisfy the goal of cultivating a future that is filled with enjoyment and true peace; making the world a more beautiful place, and attaining even greater advancements.

It should be noted that it doesn't mean that people, in order to heal their inner pain and find answers to their complex questions will not benefit from reading commentaries on the Quran and Hadith of Prophet Muhammad, rather the reality is that today's people no longer have the time to read these lengthy works and to figure out their interpretations. So, by looking at this reality, does this not mean that we refuse to answer these seekers questions or are they not made to stray onto the wrong path (by means of misinterperation and drawing incomplete conclusions)? The answer is yes! Therefore, by recognizing this issue, we now present you with a focused and awakening search into these truths through '102' instructive questions in the following six chapters.
