Chapter 9

Some of the Signs of the Heavens in Mankind

1. Question: Who is man?

Answer: Man is a being who has a natural and inherent love of leadership, flying, and being on water. He like to ride animals, such as horses, camels, and so forth, and to ride in vehicles, such as motorcycles, cars, airplanes, and the like. He is fond of a vast array of foods, drinks, and clothes. He is fond of music and songs. He covets huge gardens and orchards and has a penchant for the best and highest possible apartments and castles. He wishes to be everywhere with his spouse. Also he has a tendency to seek out different natural landscapes so that he might enjoy them as well. These, along with other inherently developed perceptions which are carried by him, are all transferred in essence to him from his father ancestor Adam, peace be upon him.

The reason behind all this is that all future offspring of Adam, peace be upon him, existed in a special reservoir within Adam's body while he was in Paradise. They, too, were benefiting from those pleasures and favors, some of which we will explain in the following examinations. At most, some of us have benefited more and some have benefited less.

2. Question: Why is man naturally inclined to all these pleasures?

Answer: Because his first father, Adam, peace be upon him, was accustomed to and his attention was drawn to such perfect and free favors by Almighty God in Paradise. This was done at the beginning of his creation for the purpose of fortifying physical and spiritual instincts. The holy Quran and other heavenly books give a detailed explanation of this.

3. Question: Why is man suffering from his fall and dismissal?

Answer: While existing within Adam's loins, man had sensed his permanence, his everlasting life, and his imperishable real place in Paradise. He had also perceived his continuous domination and mastery over the vast area of Paradise as being everlasting and without any competitor. Therefore now, when he sees his annihilation and deposal, he is suffering, and it seems unpleasant to him.

4. Question: Why man gets concerned about his weakness in everything, especially aging and so forth?

Answer: Because, in Paradise, he was not actually seeing in himself weaknesses in anything at all. Hoping for that permanence in this impermanent world, man subconsciously finds himself being tortured. Hence Soul feels discontented when intermixed with the Ego. However, if Soul is purified, then the difficulty will cease, because the Union of Friend to Friend is the release of the Soul from the mold.

"Death is a bride uniting lover to beloved." Hadith.

5. Question: Why is man made content by receiving service and submission from his own species?

Answer: Because the elevation of his Ego puts him beside his complete authority over material things, to crave authority over people of his own social but lower class. This quality originates from Love of Leadership that is an inheritance of Paradise, where Adam and Eve, peace be upon them, were served by Ghulmaan, but this quality has grown unfairly in most human beings under the influence of sensual desire and egotism.

6. Question: Could you elucidate the previous question a bit more?

Answer: Basically, the young and handsome generations of the Holies were busy serving Adam, peace be upon him, in Paradise. Pertaining to this nucleus, his children are also naturally interested in having this authority in receiving and giving service to the same species.

7. Question: What other additional secrets and wisdom would be behind this?

Answer: Some heedless and mean people of this world will have inferior positions in the Everlasting World, due to their nonsensical past deeds. Some of them will even beg to be among the servants and devotees of the noble people, because they would be saved from torture by the intercession of these noble people.

8. Question: Why does man want to use various inner means, the effect of God's Names, the verses of the Holy Quran, and so forth, besides the physical tools and the power that he already has, in order for his commands and desires to be fulfilled and to miraculously acquire the things he wants?

Answer: Because the commands of his ancestors Adam and Eve, peace be upon them, were carried out not just by the paradise Houris and Ghulman and other Cherubim, but also, by using some secrets of God's Names. At the moment that the Heart longed for something in Paradise, that thing was instantaneously within their grasp due to the blessings of reciting God's names.

9. Question: Why does man want his commands to be executed as influentially and promptly as possible?

Answer: Because the commands of his ancestor Adam, peace be upon him, were enforced and possible to be fulfilled immediately. Having inherited this attribute, man pays as much attention to the execution of his desires as to their fulfillment. Also relating to his nature according to -

"man is created in haste, namely having qualities such as rashness and quickness" man, by essence, is rushed in action. The wise ones, by knowing and observing all aspects of their affairs, may pay special attention and become practically superior.

10. Question: Why is man inclined to colors?

Answer: Because one of the most manifest ornaments from every viewpoint and everywhere is Paradise, besides the excellent secrets and wisdom behind the utilization way of things, is the decoration of things with colors and fascinations. Meanwhile, these colors shift through spectrums, are shiny and completely alive.

11. Question: What is the effect of human beings being in the loins of Adam, peace be upon him, as sperms in Paradise upon their arrival into this world?

Answer: Man is also now enjoying the excellent human morals as an effect of that fortune, provided he has equipped himself with the necessary purification of Heart and cleansing of Ego. Some of the clean-spirit believers demand the virtues of the Everlasting World and the Nearness of Him Almighty Unique Being in return for the acquisition of this nobility. They also want to succeed in fulfilling their wishes by mastering the secrets the Names of His Holiness, the Lord of Might and Glory.

On the other hand however, there are those sensual people who, according to that inherited taste, put all their efforts into illegitimate means of obtaining property, position, and the best lodging for the comfort of Ego. Otherwise, man, similar to other mammals, should have been disinterested in acquiring all these pleasures.

12. Question: How would this command on God's Names be possible for man?

Answer: In two ways!

First: Man may follow his Ego and the seduction of Satan, while getting access to God's Names, then he, as a consequence, moves away from Theism and makes an effort in annoying people solely for his own benefit. He becomes dependent on magic. Through illegitimate and illegal actions a person may complete some prayers, and as a result, he succeeds in mastering the methods of magic. In the long run, the future of this kind of people will become darker and darker, because of the disloyalties they committed and are still committing.

13. Question: Would you please explain the second, correct way?

Answer: The second part of this command revolves around the Theism. The first step toward this Insight can be acquired through observing the handiwork and creatures of His Almighty such that, one observes the Magnificence and Performance of His Almighty Unique Artificer in each work. This is called Material Sightseeing.

"Almighty God intends every facility for you; He does not want you to be entangled in unbearable difficulties" etc.

Of course there is Spiritual Sightseeing as well. They shall keep up with piety, cleanse the Ego, and purify the Heart; and subsequently pay attention to the secrets in the recitation of God's Name and His Word, and should remain persistent. Finally, they will attain different ranks respectively, for observing the Sacred World.

They will be the discoverers of the Fourth Dimension and the owners of true authorities in the World of Spirits. They will be resurrected in the category of God's great Saints and higher, on the Day of Judgement.

You will find detailed discussion of this issue, with God's help, in the Epistle: "Analysis of Man's Atom". The Quran has also dealt briefly with it, and it refers to the term "to reach Notional Certainty and to reach Tangible Certainty."

14. Question: What is Material Sightseeing?

Answer: The observation of things in one's surroundings and the discovery of the hidden secrets put therein by the Almighty Artificer and their ways of utilization, is called Material Sightseeing. On the contrary, however, man has not known or pondered on his own self. Therefore, his Spiritual Sightseeing is not complete.

COMMENT!

Through the aforementioned questions and answer, it is fundamentally clear, that there is an excellent worth in humanity, much higher than what man sees in a portion of possessions in matter. This truth becomes revealed to man, when the powers of Faith and Soul in him are improved toward the state of excellence. In other words, man prevails over most of the secrets of the three dimensional or material world through his exploring Intellect. In the same way, by means of Soul and the fortification of Soul, man can rapidly discover and know the mysteries of truths about the secrets of the Forth Dimension or the present visible and invisible world and all living creatures, and also the Heavens and Hell(s), and the rest of that Everlasting and Permanent World. He could even observe the aforementioned truths either in brief or in detail, according to his capacity.

When will this special grace be available to man?

It is an appropriate question. In response, we must say that man has never dominated anything unless his knowledge has first explored that thing.

Therefore, you should deeply study the topics of this Epistle and all the Epistles containing the key to the secrets of the Forth Dimension, which are sent to me, so that you may understand, with God's help, what you have been looking for. You can use the help of this school's teachers in solving problems concerning the aforementioned issues. Pay close attention to the following chapter dealing with Devils where they, by using the desires of Ego, have increased man's mindlessness and heedlessness. Let us hope to attain the help and conquest of Almighty God as soon as possible.
